I Am...: 6 Week Empowerment Series
BAISIC is back and we are excited to open up registration for our empowerment series workshop entitled “I Am…”!
This is a free 6-week program in which the girls will go through 6 components of creating their own introductory statement they can use to share who they are with anyone, anywhere.
The components include:
“I Am… A Name”
“I Am… A Face”
“I Am… My Abilities”
“I Am… My Challenges”
“I Am… An Author”
“I Am… History in the Making”
The “I Am” Weekly Program is designed to support young girls aged 8-13 in developing foundational “I Am” statements that serve as both affirmations of their current identity and aspirations for who they are becoming. These statements will not only boost their confidence and self-awareness but also help them practice introducing themselves authentically and confidently in various social and professional settings.
This program offers a safe, supportive environment where participants can explore their strengths, values, and dreams, building the skills necessary for effective self-expression.
The program will culminate on June 21, 2025 with the BAISIC “Tea and Twirls” Event, where the girls will present their “I Am” statements to an audience of family, friends, and mentors, celebrating their growth and achievements.
Meetings will be held in-person, in Mount Vernon, NY. Location will be provided to participants after registration.
***PLEASE NOTE: The 6 weeks will NOT be 6 consecutive weeks. They will be spread out from March 2025 to June 2025. The dates are: March 8th, March 22nd, April 5th, April 19th, May 5th, May 17th and June 7th. There will also be a dress rehearsal date of June 14th for girls to practice presenting their statements at the Tea. ***
